I don't get a whole lot of
time to hunt, but appreciate it whenever I can. I
stalked this buck bedded in a CRP field with a doe. At
30 yards I saw the does ear twitch through my
binoculars. After scanning the area I saw the tip of a
beam several feet behind her. I went to full draw and
snort wheezed twice and he stood up out of his bed to
greet my Easton A/C/C shaft! 29" Main Beams!! |

Bill Barzillo of Florida
walks up on his 164"er. Bill had guided for Tom Indrebo
of Bluff Country Outfitters in Buffalo County Wisconsin
for 14 years and has harvested many GIANTS during this
time on his own Wisconsin properties. However, this was
Bill's first time ever being on the client side of
things! I was definitely nervous about guiding the
guide! |

My great friend Ron Lance
from Springboro Ohio connected on November 14th on this
200" plus monster. I jumped the deer three days prior
bedded with a doe in a CRP field. At around noon Ron and
I headed up a steep draw between two bedding areas with
a stand and Lone Wolf sticks. We hung at the head of the
draw and I was out of there in 15 minutes. At 4:30 the
buck followed a doe at 30 yards from Ron. The rest is
history. Ron will grace the cover of R Magazine sometime
in 2007 with his magnificent buck! |
